Performance-labeled feeds (Google Merchant Center & Meta)

CollectionsIQ Help · Feeds

Your collections organize the storefront; your feeds decide what shopping campaigns promote. CollectionsIQ closes the loop by publishing its performance intelligence back into your feeds as labels — no new API permissions, no risky write access to your ad accounts.

How it works. CollectionsIQ generates supplemental feeds — small files that add attributes to products already in your primary feed, keyed by product ID. You add the feed URL once:

  • Google Merchant Center: as a supplemental feed; the performance tiers arrive as custom_label values you can use in Performance Max listing groups, campaign filters, and bidding splits.
  • Meta: as a supplemental/override feed on your catalog, usable in product sets.

Because the platforms pull the feed from CollectionsIQ on their own schedule, your primary feed and existing setup remain untouched — remove the supplemental feed and everything reverts.

What's in the labels. Performance tiers computed from your data (e.g. top/mid/low by net ROAS), refreshed on every daily sync, so campaign structure built on the labels tracks reality automatically.

Per-collection feeds. Beyond the global tier feed, each rule-driven collection can publish its own feed of member products — useful when a campaign should target exactly "High ROAS" or "BFCM performers".

Setup: Feeds screen → enable the feed → copy the URL → add it in Merchant Center (Settings → Data sources → Add supplemental feed) or Meta Commerce Manager. The Feeds screen shows when each feed was last built and last pulled.

If Merchant Center says "offer does not exist": your primary feed's offer IDs don't follow the standard Shopify channel convention — common when a feed tool (DataFeedWatch, Multifeeds, Simprosys and similar) generates its own IDs. Two settings on the feed card fix this:

  • Offer ID scheme → "Matched ad ids" — emits the exact item IDs your ad account reports for each product, which are by definition the IDs in your primary feed.
  • GMC feed label — enter the feed label your supplemental source is registered under in Merchant Center (visible on the data source's settings page). A supplemental feed only joins offers within its own label scope, so this restricts the file to IDs that actually live there.

One nuance of the matched scheme: it can only cover products that have appeared in your ads (that's where the IDs come from) — collection members that never ran as ads are omitted rather than guessed. For stores on the plain Shopify Google channel, the default scheme covers every member and the market country is detected automatically from your data.
