Connecting Google Ads

CollectionsIQ Help · Getting started

To connect: open Integrations → Connect Google Ads and approve the Google consent screen. CollectionsIQ requests read-only access to your Google Ads data — it never modifies campaigns, budgets, or bids.

Choosing an account. After connecting you'll see every Ads account your Google login can access. Pick the one that advertises this store's products in the Ads account selector. You can rename accounts in the list to keep things recognizable. If you use a manager (MCC) login, select the actual client account, not the manager.

What we pull. Daily per-product shopping performance: impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, and conversion value, split by feed label if your Merchant Center uses them (see Markets: feed labels and countries). Product identifiers from your ads are matched to your Shopify catalog automatically; unmatched ones appear on Integrations for one-click manual mapping.

Sync cadence. Metrics refresh automatically every day (recent days are re-fetched, since Google restates them), with a deeper weekly pass. Fetch now triggers an immediate pull. Backfill history pulls up to 24 months.

If the connection expires. If Google invalidates the authorization (password change, revoked access), the account card shows Reconnect needed and syncing pauses — your collections, rules, and matched products are kept. Just press Reconnect Google Ads.

To disconnect: use Disconnect on the Google card. You'll be asked whether to also remove the data already synced from Google (metrics, product mappings). Keeping the data means your historical insights survive; removing it wipes everything Google-sourced. Demo data and other platforms are unaffected either way.
